From the world famous PRS Guitars Private Stock is this exotic beauty, Private Stock #9740. This guitar builds upon the Custom 24 platform that made PRS Guitars famous. This guitar boasts a Music Loft select Buckeye Burl top, Black Limba body with matching Black Limba electronics cavity cover, a Macassar Ebony neck, a Music Loft select Pale Moon Ebony fretboard, small offset bird inlays with a black outline and sparkle Mother of Pearl centers, the menacing "Birds of a Feather" headstock with a Buckeye Burl overlay and Macassar Ebony eagle, Mun Ebony tuner buttons, smoked black hardware, 85/15 pickups, and a hardtail bridge. This guitar is finished in alluring satin nitro finish that is smooth and inviting to the touch. This guitar represents the best of the best from the PRS Private Stock.

 

One thing to make note of is that this guitar could never be made this way again. As of 2023, dealers are unable to order just the Birds of a Feather headstock without the Birds of a Feather fretboard inlay. So once this one is gone, we will never be able to recreate this build.

*NOTE: This guitar is technically used, although it has been displayed its whole life and never truly played/gigged. We purchased this guitar from the original buyer who bought this guitar from us new and had it on display in his home.
